All it needs is binding. I posted the WIP pics a while back. You can find them here: http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-105290-1.htm

This is a fabric pick me up for a dear friend. She's had an awful winter, physically, and it's taken quite a toll on her body. This quilt is 60" square so she can wrap herself up in it in her wheelchair, or drape it around her in her recliner. She loves cats.

Here are the quilting pictures. The pictures of the backing lighten it too much. It's really a dark, dark purple like an eggplant with heart shaped vines of lavender. I used very dark purple quilting thread. It really makes the purple cats on the front POP out.

Here is the backing:

I SITD a grid around each block. Then a cross hatch across the pieced blocks. Then finally, around the inner edge of the border. The cross hatch creates almost a secondary pattern like a square in a square.

This was such an easy quilt to do. Anyone in need of "instant" gratification will sure get it on this quilt!

I'll be binding it in the same dark purple backing. If I like how the binding pics turn out, I'll post them here too.
