My guild has spent the past year or so collecting quilts for our local Warriors in Transition battalion. (aka Wounded Warriors)

After a few months "struggle" to coordinate the ceremony, we were finally able to hand them out yesterday.

We didn't reach our goal, but we did have the honor of delivering 65 quilts to the unit. They'll be distributed to soldiers still on active duty here, and to some who are in a hospital down in Tampa, FL.

We intend to keep going and already have about 10 tops waiting to be finished. We'll deliver them throughout the year, without a ceremony, as we make them.

I want to especially thank our very own members, KatSewnSe and dodtcomdctn for donating quilts to our effort. The soldiers who received them were particularly touched when they learned that their quilts came from from "far away folks". It reminded them that there are people everywhere who appreciate their dedication to our freedom. :-)

all the quilts range in size from big laps to about twin.

i've added photos of some i made, too. i didn't get pics of all of them after they were finished, so please excuse those that are still "just tops".
