I use sewing machine oil for mine. just oil all of the moving points of the treadle and your good. But if it is a Singer treadle your working with they usually clunk and clank a bit anyway. Just adds to the experience. ;)

Thanks Billy, I finally got the Minnesota D working (Only have 1 needle), but one of the places has a clanking sound, and I was hoping there was a way to fix it.
