I'm 67--and I have quilts and misc. blocks inherited from my grandmothers that have some of these same prints. One died when I was only 9, and the other when I was in my late 20's. Many of these pieces were made from feed sacks; others from leftover dress scraps. So...some of your 9-patch pieces are from fabrics 60-40 yrs. old or older. What a find--and for only $5!
Those 9-patches would be pretty set on point with a dark (maybe black) background.
