my grandmother gave each of her great granddaughters some quilt blocks of appliqued tulips that her mother did in 1927. My sister in law (ex) came to visit and I was showing her my sewing room etc. when she went home she sent me what was left that was given to her for her daughter. there was a quilt made for her daughter and these were left over. 17 of them. they are in great shape! Some day I will make a quilt for my daughter with whats left. (she wasnt born yet when they were gifted by grandma) i thought it was so nice and generous of her to give them to me. Grandma passed on in 1992 at 92 yrs old. I have 2 log cabin quilts that she made me. Can you believe that in 16 short years these blocks will be 100 yrs old!
