The wave in the middle is an indication of not folding it on grain & wouldn't matter whether you rotary cut or used this tool. So, you need to straighten your fabric by either of a couple of ways: 1)Here is a good video explaining straightening:

I have 2 different styles of the June Tailor tools. I love them & have used them for strip cutting, cutting bias, & also fringe on fleece or rag quilts. Nancy zieman has a short video on cutting the fleece using this tool, which was faster then how I used to do it.

I bought one @ walmart (before the 2008 crash which has caused my local store to get rid of everything sewing & crafting), the other @ Joann's with a 50% off coupon. I never paid over $20 for either. One is about 24" square, so covers the WOF folded once. The second is a diamond cut. Even though the big ruler has the markings, I saw a neat demo @ a quilt show on folding a fabric back for a border & this was cheaper & more versatile to do the same concept.
