I have had luck with Goo Gone as well as mineral oil, cooking oil or any other type of oil ! Important to let it sit awhile B/4 wiping off. On my walnut SM table that my DH put the hot turkey platter on at Thanksgiving one year, I mixed reg. white toothpaste and mayo and let it sit overnight (if poss,) then rub gently. Hope something works for you.
