My 14 year old is making a blue D9P that is made from fabric left over from the log cabin his grandma (my mom) made for me years ago.

I love working with both of them. I just wish that my oldest didn't want to use the only machine I can quilt on. And I wish both of them would learn to pin their own stuff.

Give the kids washable glue sticks and have them use that to 'pin' the fabric together. I have to do that because I can't handle the pins well. Since I started using it, my piecing is much improved, which is a real bonus for me.
