Hi all-

i may have gotten myself in to deep and I need some help. My uncle passed away in Feb and as my aunt was going through his clothes I told her if she wanted to send me some cotton stuff and I'd make her a quilt. Now, I have a bunch of his clothes. I am stuck I am so afraid to mess it up.

I was thinking to start maybe just cut everything into 6" squares. Then go from there. I know i can use 6 " squares in a lot of patterns. Has anyone done this before??? Is there a better generic size to cut? I'm thinking maybe just making a charm quilt ..... Can anyone think of anything I should consider? Also, do I need to stabilize the cotton before I sew? She gave me mostly t shirts and a couple of pairs of pants.

Thanks for your help. I'm afraid without help I'll never tackle this one.
