Did the $20 include the fabric?
This is basically a kit - like buying the Flynn precut windmills packages he used (maybe still does) sell.
I'm not commenting on if it's a good deal or not (I never buy kits but I understand the appeal for some people), but a king size quilt is approx 9 yards of fabric UNCUT.
If you had to go out and buy a whole selection of FQ's to get the right mix, that's way over $100 right there (forget borders, binding and backing) to get the 40-50 FQ's for a good mix.
So the question is how much the time is worth to NOT have to cut the pieces out yourself, and how much having perfectly pieces is worth to you, IF you happen to like that fabric. However, my take is that if you DO happen to like that fabric genre, you've already got a nice selection in your stash....that you won't be able to use for this.
Plus the $12 pattern in the magazine isn't included. You'da thunk they could have tossed the mag in with each purchase.
