OK, I found this much out. He says it does not say singer on the machine but that he's heard they were made by singer. But I guess I've learned from here that there were other companies that made knock offs??? Are they as equally as good or no?
It's an actual Singer, not a knock-off. Basically, like a 99. It probably says "Simanco" somewhere on it, maybe the motor or the underside, which stands for "Singer Manufacturing Company".
