The FPP is made from four repeats, cutting the fabric into squares -- the effect looks like a square tile. The one block wonder usually forms a hexagon (six sides), using six repeats, formed with equilateral triangles (60 degree triangles). Kaleidoscope refers to using repeats of fabrics to give the same effect as looking through a kaleidoscope. Stack and whack usually involves eight layers. Have I confused anyone yet?
