It was a used machine then. It works just fine, however I don't use it and the step daughter never did. I just gave my slanto-matic 400 singer to my daughter in- law. It still works like new too and I bought it in 1964.
I wanted mine to be able to sit out on the patio and sew sometimes. I do alot of sewing. But like being outside some too.
