I was selling a car a few years back for $18,000 that had a book value of $19,575. So this man answers my add in the paper and offers me, and I quote, "$10,000 and that's FIRM".
I nicely told him that I was asking $18,000 and would never go down to $10,000 and he started YELLING at me on the phone. Said he only had $10,000 and that's what he would give me. Weird. He would not stop yelling at me and I finally hung up on him. Thankfully he didn't call back.
People can be very strange.
