I collect buttons and have belonged to a Button Club in the past. Some of the Bakelite buttons are expensive but they are usually individually marked and in the jewelry case. She was just rude. You couldn't be expected to know they were expensive if you are not a collector and she should have displayed them differently. I have seen some buttons (not Bakelite) go for hundreds of dollars. Crazy.
