If it is the class where you use ink and aloe vera you need to get the pure aloe vera in a bottle that you get from the drug store. No perfumes or color. Not the kind in your garden. The aloe vera keeps the inks from spreading and you can manipulate the ink to where you want it to go and how you want it to look.
