I still get puckers but usually in an area that is heavily embroidered.
I have less probles now I iron the fabric then I use a washable glue sick and run a strip on all 4 sides then smooth the material onto the stablizer place top part of hoop on it and pick up the whole thing and place in the bottom part of hoop and tighten
Here are two images of a fairy pattern. I have the front and back included. Here is my process.
1) Spray fabric with heavy starch and press it.
2) Apply 1 piece of Sulky "Totally Stable" iron on tear away stabilizer.
3) Add 1 layer of a stiff tear away stabilizer.
4) Hoop fabric and stabilizer so fabric is taut.
5) Embroider :)
When finished remove both tear away stabilizers from around the design. I then repress the design from the back with a pressing cloth. If needed apply more starch.
I hope this helps :-)
