bad fabric is bad fabric does not matter WHAT store is selling it..you have to KNOW your fabric lines and know the quality and really look at it to determine if it is good or not.
VIP cranston USED to be really good in the 80's..then they sold a lot of their lines to WM to produce and it really went downhill....
Just because Joanns and/or Hancocks sells it, does not make it any better or worse than Walmart having it...
I used to be a buyer for one of those companies and worked in management at another...I know the lines well and I know what to expect in quality...both have changed drastically over the last 10 years and not always for the better.
When Wm decided to STOP selling fabric..where do you suppose those fabric makers sold the fabric....to Hancock's and Joanns...after all, the fabric was made and in wharehouses..so it had to be sold somewhere...... :lol:
