How about going to an Estate Sale that just started 4 minutes earlier, and you find everything you are there to look at is gone? (DH and I were standing in line before the doors opened). I mean every sewing machine, every inch of fabric, every sewing cabinet, iron, notions, etc. everything. I asked if they were still available and where could I find them, and the sales personnel told me they just sold. Okay, so who snapped their fingers and made them disappear that quickly? Gotta love the sales that advertise, only to have others show up or contact the Estate business and buy the stuff a day or more before the doors open. As far as Bakelite, yes they are collectible. But I find it hard to believe the estate people would put them with the regular buttons. I agree, they should be at the checkout table with the jewelry.
