My husband was the primary bread winer in our household, with my job coming in way down the list of "good paying jobs." Well, he lost his job in January, and so far there are no hopes in sight for anything promising.

The mortgage has to take priority now, so I have put the word out to a few fellow quilters that I will barter. One gal hates to bind, so I am going to bind a quilt of hers in trade for fabric. Another also hates to bind, and she is a LAQ. We are trading my binding service for her long arm service on a quilt I had in progress.

My stash is small, so in order to keep doing what I love I have started making the wall hangings I have on my to do list. I'm trying to make them out of my not-so-big stash.

Hoping for better financial times for so many of us...
