Here's my favorite Creamy mushroom Alfredo or Stroganoff Sauce.

2 Tblsp. butter
8 oz. box of sliced fresh mushrooms,(3 cups)
1 Clove garlic, finely chopped
1 pkg. Cream Cheese, 8 0z. cut into small cubes
2/3 cup milk
salt to taste

4 Tblsp. grated Parmesan cheese (only for Alfredo sauce)

In large skillet over med.-high heat, melt butter, add mushrooms and garlic. Cook 5 minutes or until mushrooms are tender, reduce heat to medium. Add cream Cheese, milk and salt, stirring until cheese melts and sauce is smooth and creamy. Toss with hot pasta, and the parmesan cheese.

For Stroganoff sauce just omit the parmesan cheese and add cooked ground beef or cut up roast over noodles. Yummy!!

I've also done this with canned mushrooms, lite cream cheese and evaporated milk, still turns out good.
