I've made this particular quilt top a few times, so that might be the reason why these two went together so quickly. These are two links to pics of some of the other ones I've made: http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-100174-1.htm & http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-47885-1.htm Either way, I'm thrilled they went together so fast. They are both sandwiched and pin basted. I've hand stitched the label to the backing and on Thursday I can start some FMQ. I've done the FMQ on one of these in two hours so, I'm hoping to get these done in an afternoon.

The first one is for friends who just had their first baby and are heading to Zimbabwe in the fall as missionaries. I used some fussy cuts of African animals in the socks to commemorate the little boy's first overseas trip. He was born in March but they're coming to NY this week so I'm finishing it now to give it to them personally.

The second one is for DH's cousin whose second child, their first son, was born last week, three weeks prematurely. I started theirs when I started the other one, thinking that it might be faster to make two exact same quilts at the same time than separately. Thanks for looking!
