I never prewash anything and never have had a problem.

I think in my IRR quilt that there are some materials that are prewashed and some that aren't. It's at the LAQ now. I'll let you know when I get it home and wash it, but I'm willing to bet a paycheck it's ok.

And yes, I do manage to make more than one or two quilts a year. I have better things to do with my time than prewash fabric. Now, if I had nothing better to do.....nah, I still wouldn't. :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :lol: :lol: But those of you with lots more energy and time, knock yourselves out. We will always find ways to justify doing something we are convinced we should (or shouldn't) be doing.

In the end, it's going to be your decision as to whether you believe it's necessary or not. There is not law about either.
