Does your machine have a Stop/Start button so that you don't have to use the foot pedal? If so, use the foot pedal and not the button. Personally, I don't like the button because it is too fast. Or maybe I'm just too slow. Anyway I feel that I have much better control using the pedal. Good luck! Marge L.
