Welcome from So. California. you are so lucky to have a Bernina 1090. I traded mine in on a Bernina 440 and have regretted it ever since. Since a nice machine. I would call a local Bernina dealer and ask if the power cords are interchangable. They also sell power cords. Good Luck!
