Years ago my DH Uncle Donnie discovered bats had nested in the attic space of his cottage. When he went looking for something to spray them with to get them to move on he found a can of WD-40. He sprayed the batts and got a lot of shiny pissed off batts! Not sure if they ever returned or not, but I can still hear the hoots of laughter as that story was told.
