So, I feel no guilt in knowing I would attend lots of retreats, travel, and quilt as much as I like. Building my stash up too.
I turned it around too...both my dh and myself are disabled and cannot work.
He is 8 years older than me and I can tell you that should he pass someday before me, - breaking the rule,
(I always wanted to 'go' first...I don't want to be alone),
but having said all that, there is no reason for anyone to feel guilty about wanting some "me" time.
My dh can be watching tv and I am in sewing room, and most of the time, although I get some stuff done, for some psycho-babble reason, I am just more relaxed and more productive when he is gone doing what makes him happy and I am doing what makes me happy.
We spend time together and I watch tv until sighthe muscle car shows, the motor building shows, and the history shows with all the tales of old prisons and torture etc. come on, and then I leave the room!
LOL...he used to talk about having to watch tv alone, then our computer crashed and I started to come to DD's to use her pc.
Now he is fine with me being home and sewing ;)
He'll do just fine if i do pass first...he'll be busy selling off my stuff, after DGD gets what she wants.
He calls my fabrics - "grease rags", and laughs!
Debbie, you tickle me :D with all those cute mousie pictures you find.
Many do not understand there are a whole bunch of us, cute, domesticated meeces that never bother anything that's not ours! ;)
