I live in the Research Triangle Park area of NC, and have been lurking in the background since I joined two weeks ago to see what this blog is like. I love quiilters and your sense of humor. I am a long-time sewer who started quilting six years ago, but got sidelined for a while caregiving my elderly parents, which I wouldn't have missed for the world -- the time spent with them is very precious to me now. Therefore, I spent the time buying fabric instead of sewing because my mother loved to buy fabric, and I have a whale of a stash! I am in a lather because my niece is getting married in August and I want to finish a quilt as her gift. So, I read the posts religiously because you have great ideas and answer many of my questions.
