I used stitch in the ditch for the whole quilt and it isn't that bad if you have a long table on your left hand side to take the bulk of the quilt. Big thing is to take your time. I have 21 hours into that quilt and no I don't have a long arm.
And for the members who think it is alot of work for a puppy, ty but I would do 5 quilts for a golden retreiver. I just had my 14 yr old put down last year and I miss him so much and am sooo excited about my new little one (will be born end of April) I agree with you that it is alot of work but right now that just doesn't matter to me, its only my time for something that will give me years of pleasure and love.
The quilt that is shown is only quilted by me, it was pieced by a student in my dwr class that I taught in my home. thanks for all the wonderful comments. Means alot.
