I tried the 'diet cake' yesterday. We were 10 people and there's not a crumb left today. It was so fabulous. I used triple chocolate cake mix and one can diet cherry coke! That's it! Mixed it up and then baked it in a 9X13 pan (sprayed with Pam) according to the cake mix directions. So no excuses...don't need eggs, oil, etc. Just one can of diet soda. I am definitely going to do this one again. You can use any cake mix and diet soda combination of these two ingredients.
