I need the alone time too. Son, his dog, and his buddy/roommate moved in 10 days ago. He bought a house and it isn't ready. DH has been overseeing the remodeling of that house, which has been tiresome, but has given him something to do besides watch Military Channel or all the Business/Financial shows, when his sports shows aren't on.
I'm the exact opposite for TV viewing - movies, forensic science, and old sitcoms. Thank goodness the sewing area is my escape place. My guilty pleasure is to roam the house after everyone is in bed. Then I read the paper, do sudoku, surf the internet, and write emails.
We're together, but have different tastes. That's OK too.
