ok, maybe ya'll can explain something to me....what is the fascination for hackers/virus makers?? I mean I understand if they are trying to get to your personal information (and how do they get that anyway???) but what could possibly be the "thrill" in sending a virus into the ether, making someone's computer run slower, and you never meet that person, never hear anything about it...nothing....

I just don't get it....

Most people of devious intent like to see their name in the paper, or thrill at the sound of the police siren coming for them, or like the idea that they are "putting one over" on the "dumb cops" by avoiding capture. But the sender-outers of these viruses never get caught, never hear a siren, never evade a determined police force....at least I have never heard of something like that happening.

So what possibly could be the thrill to such deviants????

Maybe if we could unravel the "psychology" of these malicious folks, we could decrease the frequency of the number of viruses created and sent out.

Can anyone explain this weird behavior to me???
