My GM taught me basic sewing as a kid and I took home economics in school (anyone else make those peasant shirts and aprons). When my daughter was born, I sewed her clothes and a few things like curtains, Cristmas crafts, etc. Then, for many years, my machine only came out of it's box to do mending. Two and a half years ago I found a quilting class through the Community Education that our county school districts offer. Drug my sister to one and both of us are into it hook, line and sinker!
