I designed a baby quilt where you find the middle left to right and make a flap equal to half of the quilt. The top of the main quilt would be baby blue and the lower part would be primary colors but there would be a third section equal to half the quilt (like a book page). The upper side of the "page" matches the baby blue top but the lower side of the "page" matches the primary color bottom of the main quilt. I then stitch down the flap so the baby blue side would show while the boy is a baby and when he got older I would remove the stitching and them stitch the flap so the primary color side would be showing.
