Hello Cheryl. I don't think it can be done with hexagons, but possibly with irregular ellipses. A sphere is made with 12 regular ellipses. For an ovoid (egg shape) the ellipse would have to be longer and narrower on one side to make the narrower end of the egg. You could probably design your own templates.
