Oh dear, how did you ever get it out? Did it ruin your machine?
I use fray check on all little holes that develop in clothes. In fact my hubby has even gotten to the point when he spots a small hole in his jeans he asks me for the fray check immediately.
I've not found that it makes things stiff-but then again I've not tried to do an entire seam. It washes well.
