I print with a Pigma Micron 05 pen on muslin or light colored fabric, with a piece of freezer paper ironed on the back side. The freezer paper stabilizes the muslin, so it's easier to print on it. I always include the name of the quilt, who it's for and the occasion or what challenge it was made for, the date I finished it, my name, town and state. Remove the freezer paper and then I usually sew leftover strips from the quilt top around the outside of the label, before hand stitching it in place on a lower corner. If it was pieced by one person and fmq by another, I'd include those names as well. So far I've done all my fmq myself.
