So sorry. I really hope the problem, whatever it may be, can be resolved, but don't give up, it may all work out in the end. You have created such a great opportunity to connect the two cultures and you are to be commended for your efforts.
I don't know all that much about their society except that the women and girls live under terribly repressed conditions. You certainly don't want them to suffer any repercussions as a result of this project, but I am sure that you will be advised as to what can and should be done next. Hopefully, the women will realize that you have reached out to them in friendship which in itself is a good thing. Hang in there and pray for the best.
