After watching the demo video, I'm sure I can cut scraps just as fast and save more fabric. I'm such a miser, I hate to see any fabric wasted and in the demo, one of the dies had the shapes so far apart that it wasted a lot of fabric. Then you have to trim and run those smaller pieces through again with another die. Looks like a lot of time and trouble to do something I can do just as well with a ruler and rotary cutter. Maybe odd shaped dies, like flowers or butterflies would be easier to cut that way, but I don't think it would be worth buying one and the dies unless you do a lot of applique quilts all the time. I'm glad I watched the videos because I didn't know how they worked and it sounded tempting to me. Now, it's not!
