And since then the mat has been stored away in some cupboard for more than two years. Seeing the picture again has given me this additional idea.

Btw, I used old batik robes my mother used to wear in the 60ies for the cats. It took me ages to select the piece for the heads, trying to find some pieces with semblance of cat faces. I'm especially happy with the head of the whitish cat.
