Thank you, glad you like the change pocket. I cut 1 leg on the denim and then folded and trimmed the edges like you would with regular fabric. I’ll use some of the larger edges on this quilt and smaller pieces for denim placemats, coasters and maybe mug rugs. Since denim is so much heavier it is rougher on the rotary cutter and I go through blades quicker. You can kind of see in one of the pictures my first attempt at machine quilting (I should have used darker blue thread.) I have a long way to go on getting better at this. I’ll put regular different cotton fabrics behind the denim from my little stash (no batting because denim is heavy & warm enough for FL) – the same way you would for any rag quilt. I’ll be QID for the blocks pictured, not the usual ‘X’ done on rag quilts because the blocks are bigger.
