You are so right!! In the quilting class I teach, I had a woman join who had never sewn a stitch in her life. She didn't even own a machine. She borrowed her daughter's machine to take my class. She didn't think she could do it and I set her up with some practice work for about an hour after explaining some basics and she popped out her own version of the quilt that I use as my avatar. It was beautiful. She was beaming with pride. Her husband bought her a machine for Christmas. It just makes me "pop with joy" seeing people's faces when they master a technique or when they finish their quilt. I make every student pose with their quilt and I take a picture of every one and hang them in the sewing classroom downstairs in my home. So, I can't wait to work with my little 10 year old buddy. She is so creative and has a lot of stick to it tenacity. I have no doubt she will create a masterpiece!!
