I hand-pieced a GFG because I wanted to do it 'the old-fashioned way'. I wanted to hand quilt it, but because I had never done it before, I made another lap quilt to practice the hand-quilting on. Then I got distracted from it and haven't gotten to the GFG, but it is on my short list of quilts to do. I do machine piece, too, though, for speed. But hand piecing is relaxing and therapeutic.
