i would remove the outer border entirely. the pieced border is wonderful and should be allowed to shine on its own. :wink:
steam press and hand baste the pieced border into submission as you sandwich it for quilting and then use the lighter green as binding.
that's my 2-cents, anyway.
I'm with Patrice's 2 cents. Steam it and block it, let it dry and then try a stay stitch all around the outside before attempting to do anything else with the edges. It's beautiful. Is it for sale???? LOL
