feed dogs are up. you need this to move the fabric along. it also helps to loosen the top tension & with satin-stitching, to use a stabilizer underneath. you may think stabilizer an extra expense, but it is well worth it for the pretty stitching you get,
I agree and a double roll of wall paper liner as stabilizer is only $15 at Lowe's.
