You might be right. My older daughter, who is very smart, used to screw up any household task I asked her to do. She knew how to do every one of the things I asked her, but she didn't want to do any of them. So she always screwed up.

I called it 'planned incompetence'. She figured if she did something wrong often enough, eventually I would stop asking her to do it.

She really didn't know her mother very well...the word stubborn was invented for me. Of course, I use the word 'persistent' to describe me.[/quote]

"Planned Incompetence" I love it! that describes an assistant I had a several years ago--she didn't last very long. LOL
