Some years ago, in a class, we were told that sage green will blend with almost any color, easily--so I keep it on hand for all work with colored fabrics, when sewing on black, I prefer to use dark brown thread, just in case a seam or two need resewing--it is much easier to see the seam, and it does not show after the block is pressed.
