I too, got a F. W from the thrift store I work in. The minute I came in the room and smelled "the smell" I knew there was a featherweight in the room. I later learned that it is that drip pad underneath the machine. Ordering a new one will help. I just opened my case, and the "smell" is gone. I liked the idea of the odor eaters with charcoal.
