I don't think it's fair to speak for 'most' quilters when you don't like something. I love my Accuquilt - wouldn't be without it. I have hand, back and shoulder issues. I can cut out an entire quilt in 30 minutes. I can cut out HSTs with the fabrics RST - then lift them off the GO and sew them together. Total accuracy.
The cutter is a bit stiff when you first use it, but after a while it 'limbers' up and the handle becomes much easier to turn. I think that may be why some people don't like it - they don't use it long enough to give it a chance to limber up.
