No - the borders are really that puckery!! Quilt inspector isn't totally responsible! And the borders must come off and be reattached. My friend that put the borders on didn't measure. The middle portion (which was put together by someone else who sews better) My friend just cut as she went and sewed on. Some places the seam is 1/4". Other places it's 1/2" My guess is that if i took off the borders and laid them flat - they'd be 2,3,4, inches too long.

I was hoping people would have some ideas...This is my idea:

Reduce the 1st pink border to 3 inches wide
Reduce the rectangular squares to also 3 inches wide, but add a 2nd row in a running bond type pattern
Add another pink border that is 3 inches wide.
